The PEACE+ activities

PEACE+ brings together a wide range of actors and activities aimed at promoting civic engagement, democratic participation and awareness of European citizenship.

Through the collaboration of Erasmus+ National Agencies and the involvement of Alumni, Ambassadors, programme beneficiaries and stakeholders, the project fosters connections between experiences developed across Europe and strengthens networks within the Erasmus+ Programme.

Throughout the project duration, the partner National Agencies organise transnational seminars and cooperation activities (which are known as TCA) that encourage exchange, dialogue and collaboration across countries and sectors. These initiatives contribute to sharing practices, building knowledge and reinforcing the role of Erasmus+ communities in promoting participation and European values.

A task force with representatives from several National Agencies is working on an Erasmus+ Interactive Learning Module: European Citizenship & Common Values.

The module is organized as a honeycomb and will provide knowledge and information on EU issues based on legal case studies. Tests and quizzes will make the learning experience interactive and engaging. At the end, learners will receive a certificate.

The upcoming communication activities, organised in collaboration with the project’s partner agencies, include three projects with a strong focus on young people.

Graphic novel

Firstly, the creation of an engaging, collaborative and visually appealing graphic novel, produced by young European artists, with the aim of communicating civic engagement and European values through a practical and easily understandable narrative, moving beyond didactic or institutional accounts.

In fact, it will be a product created by young people (students in their final years at comic art schools, academies and degree courses in comic art within the EU) to speak primarily to young people.

Short film

The second is a short film co-created with the partner agencies, featuring true stories from various regions.

A shared process, rooted in real stories, concrete experiences, and diverse perspectives, to authentically tell the story of European values and the work that takes shape every day across local communities. The short film weaves together meaningful, dynamic stories from different European countries.

Video series

The third project, meanwhile, involves the creation of a video series featuring stories from within European institutions, various NGOs and media, through interviews with young people working in these organisations, who describe their typical day, including the challenges, dreams, opportunities and reflections on the future they face.

The overall aim is to inspire other young people by telling them about the opportunities offered by the EU.

A pool of university researchers also contributes to the project through thematic focus groups, research activities and reports dedicated to civic engagement, youth participation and European citizenship.

Among the initiatives promoted within the project, “Erasmus goes to town” has become part of several transnational events. The initiative brings Erasmus+ Ambassadors to schools, universities and learning centres to share their mobility experiences, present the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and encourage reflection on European values and active citizenship.

Building on the experience and results of the original PEACE project, these activities now continue within PEACE+, strengthening collaboration among Erasmus+ National Agencies and expanding the project’s impact across Europe and its local communities.
